Prices and Payment
Woodcarvings
"Portrait" caricatures (caricatures that look like a specific person) vary in price depending on the size of the carving. In general, you can expect to pay around $10 per inch in height for a caricature of this type if I have carved the person before. Most of the popular (people) carvings are available in two sizes. The larger size is around six inches tall and costs $65. The smaller size is around five inches tall and costs $50. There is no additional charge for glasses. Most coaches are available with a headset. This costs an additional $10.
Most pins cost $7 apiece or three for $20. Wall hangings vary in price from $15 to $40, unless they are made of an exotic wood, in which case they would cost much more.
Chip carved cookie presses cost $2 apiece. The chip carved boxes and other carvings vary greatly in price depending on the amount of time involved. Sometimes, if a customer is interested in a custom-made piece, it is best if the customer tells me what he or she wants to pay, and I'll make a carving in that price range.
Shipping costs whatever the Post Office or UPS charges (don't blame me!). Sometimes when I'm in the mood, I'll offer "free" shipping (which means I pay the shipping cost). Sales tax is added to all items sold to Ohio residents.
Paintings and Drawings
Paintings and drawings also vary in price depending on the size of the artwork, the medium and type of materials used, and the quality of the finished piece. Most smaller (less than 16 inch x 20 inch) paintings cost less than $125. An 11 inch x 14 inch pen and ink drawing costs $125, because these are very detailed pieces. Smaller pen and ink drawings cost less, larger ones cost more. Prices for custom paintings and drawings are agreed to before I begin work. Usually, no down payment is required.
Payment
I accept cash or checks or credit cards. (There is a $15 fee for checks returned for insufficient funds.) On shipped items, I can send a Paypal e-mail invoice for payment with any credit card.
